The recent Easter Session with my Nephew was fun.  I used my new Alienbee Mono-light and Canon 430ex II speedlite along with my new background paper and stand.  All in all I am happy with the results.

My nephew was having fun being a stinker but we were able to get the shots we needed.  I wouldn't have him any other way.  He really is becoming his own little person.  I'm so glad I have a great family of beautiful people to practice my photography on.

Until recently I was a "Natural Light Photographer" which IMHO is a fancy way of saying "I'm not ready to craft my own light with flashes."  Now that I've had some time with the mono-light and the speedlite, I wouldn't go back to relying on the perfect light to occur naturally.  I thank God when ever the light truly is beautiful but when it's just not there, I know I'm fully capable of creating beautiful images.
